We are Anastassia Shaitarova and Daniel Wolfe, and we have been translating and interpreting together for over a decade. We founded Lavalingua in order to help people in our beloved countries – Russia and the USA – understand each other better.
We have translated in circumstances both wild and mundane, for clients as diverse as the World Health Organization, the Russian National Geographic Organization, but are particularly proud of our work with Russian and Ukrainian children adopted into the United States.
We both speak Russian and English (and a couple other languages in between) and we’re passionate about communication, particularly between different cultures. We work together because it is a very effective way to help us ensure the absolute highest level of work and quality control. It’s also a lot of fun.
